To the right of the hospital, and across the street, Wannieck's store. Leopold Wannieck was an early postcard publisher of Peking views. A related photograph is reproduced in J.O.P. Bland's 'Recent Events and Present Policies in China' (1912), on page 246, and captioned: 'Patrol of the Legation Guards through the City of Peking, to restore Confidence after the Mutiny of Troops (March, 1912).'
