Dennartt, Siccawei Road, Shanghai, was the home of William Venn Drummond, who was the father of Maggie Hillier (who is depicted in Hi-s052). The house was built around 1899 and still stands. It can be found on the left-hand side at the end of alley 263, leading off Huashan Road. See https://avezink.livejournal.com/90215.html. Inside the house, a plaque dated 28 June 2017 records it as ‘The Dennartt Former Residence of William Venn Drummond’ and as a ‘Cultural Relic Preservation Site of Jing’an District’. It is now the property of a state-owned company, called Brightfood. See Hi-s082 ( which is a photograph of a room at Dennartt).
