University of Bristol - Historical Photographs of China reference number: Tr01-005. Hsi-Kwan-Shan may have been a romanisation of 西關山 ('Xi guan shan'). The New Wah Chang Co. may be connected to the Wah Chang Corporation, an American company in the metal industry founded in 1916 by the mining engineer Kuo-Ching Li, who became known as the ‘Tungsten King’.
