Photograph taken at the wedding party of Michael Lindsay and Hsiao Li Lindsay at Yenching University (燕京大學), Beijing (北京) on 25th June 1941. In the background is Boya Pagoda, situated near Weiming Lake. The 'pagoda' was built in 1924 to function as a water tower. This photograph was reproduced in ‘The Unknown War, North China 1937-1945' by Michael Lindsay (London, 1975), with the caption: Our wedding party.
