University of Bristol - Historical Photographs of China reference number: Hn06-042. William E. Ruddan died 17 April 1925. An American born in Shanghai, he was employed in the printing works of the North China Daily News for 23 years, until his death. The Hutchinson family sent a floral tribute to his funeral.
