The larger building on the left is the Oriental Bank, the first bank to open in Shanghai. The Hong Kong Dispensary was established by F.H. Young in Hong Kong in 1841, before opening a Shanghai branch. The firm later became known as A.S. Watson. On the right is the godown for Alfred Holt & Co. Sign for: HONG KONG DISPENSARY.
