Bath Royal Literary and Scientific Institution reference: L04357-077b. Frances (Fanny) Amelia Thorburn, neé Hargreaves, married William Thorburn in Lancaster, England, in 1851. William Thorburn was a merchant trading with Blenkin, Rawson & Co. Mrs Thorburn died in May 1858 - see https://www.chinafamilies.net/cemeteries/1260-thorburn-frances-amelia/. The gravestone on the left is inscribed: "J. J. G. 1857". This is most probably James Jenkinson Green, mercantile assistant, at Gibb, Livingston & Co., Shanghai, who died on 3 August 1857, and is recorded as being buried in the same cemetery. See VH01-036 and VH02-070.
