University of Bristol - Historical Photographs of China reference number: SR-s07. This photograph is in the Gordon Arthur Richards Collection, held in Special Collections, University of Bristol Library (DM2841). The American crime film 'The Girl from Havana' was released on 22 September 1929, starring Lola Lane. The Queen's Theatre, 31 Queen's Road, Central, Hong Kong, opened in 1924 and closed in 1958. On the left is a sign: MEE NGAI / LADIES & GENTLEMEN / HAIR DRESSING SALOON.
