University of Bristol - Historical Photographs of China reference number: Mx04-091. Cadbury Research Library archive finding number: DA26/2/2/3 (John Preston Maxwell Papers). Dr David Landsborough III was born in Scotland in 1870. Working with the Presbyterian Church, he established a small hospital in Changhua in 1896, the Changhua Christian Hospital, which still thrives today.
