University of Bristol - Historical Photographs of China reference number: JW-s25. This London Missionary Society chapel, about 40 miles from Peking (Beijing) was burnt down on 18 May 1900. This image is on a cigarette card ('Ogden's Guinea Gold Cigarettes') made of photographic paper. Cigarette cards were supplied free in a packet of cigarettes.
