University of Bristol - Historical Photographs of China reference number: JC-s054. This bell was presented to Viceroy Li Hung-chang (Li Hongzhang) by the Krupp Iron Works. After the Boxer Uprising, it was placed on a concrete base in Victoria Park and used as a fire or alarm bell. In the background, on the left, is part of the Astor House Hotel. See EB-s0043 and Gr01-018, NA02-13.
