Characters on the large vertical flag near the front: [..] [..] 同記厚恩 (possibly 德, meaning to remember (something/someone’s) great achievements, kindness or virtue. On the picture banner, which seems to depict two children by the sea shore, the last two words might be 喜慶, meaning to celebrate. On the triangular pennant towards the back, the characters might be 彌天大 [..] (possibly 福), meaning a great blessing. On the vertical sign in Chinese to the right of HOP CHEONG FURNITURE’s shop sign, is a sign for 單季生 (i.e. the western medical doctor Dan Gui Sheng). The latter had a premesis in Queen’s Road Central – which suggests that this photograph was taken in that street?
